The newly appointed Sampdoria manager has thanked the Italian Football Federation for giving him the under-21 job, and then recently releasing him to take the offer from the Blucerchiati.

The tactician recently left his job at the Azzurrini to sign with the newly promoted Samp. The former youth manager had an outstanding contract with Italian Football Federation, which was courteously rescinded by them to allow the manager to take on the
new job at offer.
Ferrara stressed that the FIGC has given him so much that it is difficult for him to thank them enough for everything.
The former Juventus manager revealed that it was a difficult time for him when he was offered the Azzurrini job, and insisted that managing the youth side helped him to regain his confidence.
The retired centre-back insisted that his experience with Italy under-21 has been fundamental for his growth, and stated that he is grateful to FIGC for giving him the opportunity.

While talking to the press, the 45-year-old said:
“I took so much from FIGC. They called me to lead the Under-21s at a particular moment in my career, giving me the opportunity to regain motivation,” he told reporters gathered at the news conference. It was a necessary experience for me. I’m grateful for

Ciro Ferrara went on to shed some light on his decision to take on the job at Sampdoria, and revealed that he was swept away by the conviction behind the project at the outfit.
The Italian tactician went on to express his hope that he will prove to be the right choice for the newly-promoted outfit.
I said yes to Sampdoria for the seriousness of their project and almost immediately did I reach an agreement with Pasquale Sensibile. I hope to achieve the goals that this club aims for.” He added.
