Cirque du Freak movie?

While everyone else is waiting for Harry Potter or Twilight, I'm waiting for the movie adaption of my favourite novel series, Cirque du Freak. Does anyone know the release date? And if you have any information,please tell me!

so far they dont have a set date for the us just that in spain it'll come to theters March 13 2009

Sometime in 2009.

They began filming on February 18, 2008 in New Orleans and ended June 3rd, 2008. The USA release date is February 19, 2009. The film will include the first three books of the book series.
