Newcastle United beat West Bromwich Albion 3-1 at the Hawthorns in a Premier League match on Sunday, as they look to ensure European football.
The win helped the Magpies reach the 50 point mark for the first time since the 2005/2006 season.
Newcastle were the dominant side right from the start of the match and raced to a 3-0 lead inside the first 34 minutes. Papiss Cisse scored two goals for the visitors while http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Hatem-Ben-Arfa-c15884 got one for himself. A second half goal from Shane Long was not enough
for the Baggies, as Newcastle maintained their firm grip on the match to secure a 3-1 win at the end of the game.

However, minutes later, the visitors got in front when Ben Arfa’s ball found Cisse in the six yard box with Cisse side footing the ball to the bottom right corner of the goal in the 6th minute.
Moments later, the hosts were dealt with another blow with Ben Arfa scoring the Magpies second in the 12th minute. Ben Arfa picked up a probing ball from Cisse and blasted the ball past the diving Foster in the far corner of the goal.
James Morrison came close for the home side when he connected with a half volley, but his effort went well wide of the goal.
In the 32nd minute, Peter Odemwingie’s goal was disallowed after his team mate, Marc-Antoine Fortune was caught in an off-side position
However, two minutes later, the ten million pound Cisse and Ben Arfa were in the midst of action again as Cisse picked up an assist from Ben Arfa and slotted home the Magpies third goal of the game. In doing so he piled further troubles for an already beleaguered
Roy Hodgson’s side.

Cisse had the opportunity to complete his hat-trick when he picked up a deflected ball from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Yohan-Cabaye-c37423, but with only the keeper to beat, his strike was kept at bay by the Baggies goalie, Foster.
Newcastle conceded a goal in the 52nd minute when a mix up between Mike Williamson and Tim Krul was punished by the substitute Long, who put the ball in the empty goal to score the home side’s first goal of the match.
However, the Magpies ensured there was no repeat of the December’s match between the two teams which saw West Brom comeback from a two goal deficit to win 3-2 at the Sports Direct Arena.
