Queens Park http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Rangers-c40314 striker, Djibril Cisse, has issued a rallying cry to his teammates as the club look to ensure that they are one of the 20 sides in the Barclays Premier League next season.
Djibril Cisse is no stranger to the Barclays Premier League as he has played for both http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 and Sunderland in past seasons. However, the French striker has never been in a relegation dogfight before and has called on his teammates to show their metal
in their remaining matches in the league.
“Everybody in our dressing room must show what we are made of.” Cisse said in a recent interview, before continuing, “We have a lot of characters and we must all do our bit”.
QPR find themselves one place above the relegation zone and are currently level on points with Bolton Wanderers who are in the dreaded drop zone.
With just two games to go before the season’s conclusion, Cisse admits that he relishes the extra pressure. The Queens Park Rangers’ striker said, “I like when there is pressure.”
As for his lack of playing time, Cisse admitted that he respected the fact that it was the manager’s decision who he wanted to start with on the field and on the bench and that all he and his teammates could do was keep themselves ready and prepared.
“The manager (Mark Hughes) will have to make his choices about who plays but, whether you are on the pitch or on the bench, you must be ready.”
Queens Park Rangers next two matches see them take on Stoke City this weekend before they end their season with a match against Premier League hopefuls, Manchester City. A match that will have special meaning for Mark Hughes, who managed the club before
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mancini-c23323 took over.
As for QPR’s match against Stoke City on Sunday, Cisse was to the point and rather pointed out the obvious when he said, “We must win this game, there is no other choice.”
It seems that Cisse is mentally prepared for a run-in that could determine which league Mark Hughes’ men play in next season.
