  1. The country that I want to visit in the future is Italy. The reason why is that I think I'll be very happy in visiting this country because of the rich cultural and historical relevance that this country has for me. I want to see the great works of the masters, visit the Vatican, if possible, get an audience with the Pope, and just generally see the sites that I've only read about in books. I chose this country over others primarily because of the history it represents. I hope I'll be able to visit Italy soon with my children.

  2. Fiji...

    People, diving, beaches

The wonderful people, the great water, the amazing beaches

The wonderful people, the great water, the amazing beaches

    Definitely

  3. Our family wants to go to New Zealand.  The idea of the southern hemisphere is tantalizing.  I want to face north to use solar energy and learn a better way of life.  NZ is friendly to the US & Americans but stands up to us on their firm beliefs (ie no nukes, even visiting ships).  Since NZ is islands, the wildlife is unique.  They even have a species of dinosaur, living today!  Kiwi's love nature, treking, beaches, mountains and clean energy.  Their country offers all manner of terrain & weather, all under one flag!  We have decided to retire there within 5 years, but will visit sooner.

  4. Ireland

I want to learn more about the culture and food. I want to learn about my family's heritage and have seen the other cultures. I am currently working toward getting a online degree from the country- so yes.

  5. Japan

Onsen (japanese hot spring),historical sites and just the cities :)

I want to experience the city, the people and its culture and pop culture and of course.. the foods!

because japan and its people are somewhat unique

    yes.. for sure!

  6. Spain

    Culture

Have not really visited the place

    At some time

  7. I thought this was the Special Education section, not travel?

  8. GREECE! The people seem very friendly :) + they have never really been involved in war.

  9. My choice is a bit different - Egypt!

There is so much history there, and the weather is wonderful (well, a bit too hot in summer, so I´d take spring). I know that the people there are very warm and open, and so very hospitible. I have friends who are from there, and they would be able to take us around - that would make it a bit easier. I wouldn´t just want to see the touristy places, but also experience how people live there, visit a school, Uni, etc. I don´t like "only" being a tourist in a country - you are only getting part of the picture of that place. Also, I want my children to see that not everyone has such an easy life as we do, they must learn this.

When we would go? Well, my kids are ages 5,6 & 9 and have travelled a lot with us already. (mostly to Canada and Turkey).  Maybe we could take them there in a year or two, when they can really put up "not-so-comfortable-conditions" and still have fun. Then we could do things like going for a camel/camping trip with beduoin guides in the desert! Something which they will really remember.

Spain, Italy, Greece are all very nice too! (Charlotte - you may want to check up in the history books about Greece not being involved in war!!!!)  If you haven´t been to Europe yet, it is definately worth it. But now I like going to places where there is more of a cultural change. It all depends on what each person wants out of their visit/holiday.
