Cities Run by Democrats?

9 out of 10 of the dieing cities in this country are run by Democrats,Dayton, Canton Youngstown, Cleveland, Flint, Detroit, Springfield,Scranton ,Detroit. And they want to run this country,Why are these cities Dieing?

Exactly what the Republicans are saying.  Dems raise taxes, make it more difficult for small businesse to keep their doors open, and when they close, because of the high taxes, people are out of their jobs, etc. etc. etc.  These cities are dying.

A lot of those cities are located in the "Rust Belt" of the United States. The rust belt has been historically known for its industrialization, and many of the nations biggest factories and manufacturing plants are located here. As globalization has occurred, we as Americans have started to outsource are jobs to other countries because of tight labor laws and insufficient funding. When we do this, we take already established jobs from the workers in America's industrial Midwest and force those establishments to close their doors.

In this case, it is not a matter of politics, it is a matter of Geography. While your claim may be right, the only one that I can honestly say may have been attributed to the local government would be Detroit. Nevertheless, when you take away their boss, they are still in the midst of one of the deepest recessions in American history. The death of these industrial cities is due to the process of international globalization, and the impact they take on employment and business on the areas that formally capitalized on those jobs.

They also have BY FAR the highest taxes also.

have you ever been to a city? there's a reason why urban areas support liberal thinking, there's a vast diversity of people, problems and issues that need an open minded gov to run it.

What about Boston, San Fran, San Antonio, Santa Cruz, Seattle, Hoboken, Berkeley, Providence, Flagstaff, Portland(ME), and Chicago?

Since Bush's tax cuts and huge breaks to corporations, tax burdens have been shifted to the states.  It's not just major cities that are in trouble.  Several small towns across the nation are disappearing.  Ceasing to exist.   Eight years of republican leadership have lead us to disaster.  When Bill Clinton was in office, most of the cities you mentioned were flourishing.

I would probably take your question more seriously if you knew how to spell the word "dying."

However, just to give you a little bit of a clue: There are many reasons why a city may be declining which have nothing to do with the leadership.  In addition I would like to to explain exactly who the democrats are who you claim are leading these cities.  Are they just the mayors?  or are all the people in positions of power in those cities democrats?  I certainly doubt it.
