  1. Baku, Azerbaijan was named the dirtiest city in the world in 2007 by Forbes based on Mercer Human Resource Consulting's 2007 Health and Sanitation rankings that ranked 215 cities worldwide based on levels of air pollution, waste management, water potability, hospital services, medical supplies and the presence of infectious diseases.

  2. this is impossible to say without visiting all of them (not possible), but india is in general pretty dirty, so I would have to say some place like Mumbai (aka Bombay)

  3. Chernobyl in Ukraine

Radioactive metals. 135,000 citizens have been evacuated, and there is a 19-mile exclusion zone where no one lives. The amount of radiation that was leaked was about 100 times the levels released in Nagasaki and Hiroshima.

    Haina, Dominican Republic

    Lead Poisoning from smelting operations

    Linfen, China

Coal mining, pollutants in the air

  4. It depends on what you would consider 'dirty'as - natural dirt or because of pollution (water and air).

For capital cities, I've heard its Dhaka (in Bangladesh) which has all some of the highest dirt, air and water pollution levels in the world. I guess because it has all of the 3 prime problems it would be the dirtiest citiy in the world.
