Citizen Super favourite for the 480m Flat Race at Perry Barr – Preview
Citizen Super is expected to win the 480 metres Flat Race at Perry Barr in England on Tuesday, February 7, 2012. The Grade A6 event will be the first of the day at this venue, and it will be followed by 11 more races.
Out of the six participants in the race, Citizen Super has managed to earn the confidence of the bookmakers, as he has been given a general starting price of 9 to 4. This is because his recent performances have been very good.
In his last race at Perry Barr, Citizen Super stormed to an impressive victory. He was the joint favourite for that event, with a starting price of 5 to 2. He got off to a steady start and kept on increasing his speed as the race progressed.
K. Babe’s trained dog completed that race in 28.91 seconds, and was the only one to finish below the 29 seconds barrier. This performance was quite satisfying for his entire team, and they will be looking forward to a repeat of such dominance in the
upcoming events.
Citizen Super is the son of Hondo Black, out of Galtee Mist, and was born in October, 2008. He has gained quite a lot of experience in racing, and the team working with him has also been putting in the hard yards.
Although one greyhound always enters as the favourite, it certainly does not mean that he or she is guaranteed to win. Any form of racing is unpredictable, which makes this sport exciting and entertaining for the fans.
Belle Fantasy will be the other greyhound expected to make an impression at Perry Barr. She has been given a starting price of 5 to 1 by the bookmakers, and there is a chance for her to earn a victory today.
However, it will not be an easy task, as the competition is quite stiff. Belle Fantasy has had some decent races recently, but she has been going through a dry patch in terms of victories. She has got a lot of runner up and third place finishes to
her name, but needs to convert them into something big.
I. Walker’s trained b***h finished third in her last race at Perry Barr, and will be aiming to improve on that this time around. She has a very good chance of doing so, but will need some momentum at the start of the event. She was born in August,
2008, and she is the daughter of Premier Fantasy, out of Hail Or Shine.
Another greyhound trained by I. Walker, Daisyfield Hope, will go into the race with a starting price of 11 to 4. He turned in some mixed results over the past few events, but the important thing is his unpredictability.
He can certainly pull off a surprise on his day, if he gets a clear run. However, things will not be easy for him, as his last race was not an impressive one, where he managed to finish fifth. He is the son of Tyrur Ted, out of Toumpane Bella, and
was born in July, 2009.
The other three greyhounds participating in the race are Thornlea Flight, Droopys Lolo and Bower Lad. They have been given a starting price of 7 to 2, 9 to 2 and 11 to 2, respectively.
All in all, the event will be quite an exciting one and the greyhound that starts well has the best chances of winning.
