  1. City B

    2nd car travels East at 60 mph

    City A

    1st car travels East at 30mph

    Time Elapsed   CAR      Where?

    1 hour              car 2       reaches City A

    1 hour              car 1       travels 30 miles East

    2nd hour           car 1      travels 60 miles east

    2nd hour           car 2      also travels 60 miles and meets up with car 1

    so 2 hours is the answer.

    mph = miles per hour
