I've been a rural carrier associate for 2 years now and work about 25 hours a week. Recently i've been called for an interview for city carrier and mail handler. I don't know wheter I should go to the interview or just stick with rural carrier since I've been doing it for 2 years. Would it be better to become a city carrier or mail handler than a rural carrier? What should i do?

  1. I always thought that you had to use your own car to be a rural carrier.  If you like the country then stay out there, if not come to the city.

  2. You obviously get more benefits as a city carrier. Plus you do not get pro-rated pay~you get paid by the hour. You will get a uniform also! You will not have the wear and tear on your vehicle. I would definitly go to the interview but thats just me!

    Good Luck
