City in USA with the least daylight hours other than Barrow, Alaska?

I need to research a city that has the least daylight hours but a city where alot of people live and has a local Wal-Mart, McDonalds..that kind of thing.

  1. Every city in the world has a more-or-less equal number of daylight hours in a year, doesn't it? The days just get really looooong or really short (depending on the season) in locations nearer the poles...
