Manchester City are reportedly not interested in spending more than fifteen million pounds to sign http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Robin-van-Persie-c31380 from Arsenal, as they feel the Gunners demands for the striker are a little too ridiculous.
Van Persie is currently in his last contractual year with the Gunners and he is yet to commit his future to the club.
As it stands, the North London club need to get the forward to renew his contract this year, or they could risk losing him for free next season.
However, the team is looking to make a profit off the player, as they feel they could let him go for a fee that is more than twenty five million pounds.
With Van Persie turning twenty nine years old in August, not many teams are going to be willing to pay that fee for the striker.
City were believed to be one of the teams that would actually consider paying the over the top fee for Van Persie, but even the Manchester based club seems to be thinking their actions through this time around.
A source close to the club is reported to have said:  “The numbers do not add up for City. They are not willing to pay more than £15m on top of marquee wages.”
This means that the team is willing to offer the Dutch international a wage of around two hundred thousand pounds a week, but they aren’t willing to over spend on the transfer price.
The salary that City are willing to offer the striker, is well over what http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 would be looking to give the attacker.
Despite this fact,  it might be a little too early to predict what is going to happen with Van Persie and his future at the Emirates.
The striker has constantly been giving vague remarks about his dedication to the club, but has not yet said anything substantial.
Nonetheless, with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Netherlands-c753 now knocked out of the Euro 2012, the forward is going to have the time that he needs to decide just what he wants to do.
This way, the team will be able to prepare themselves for the coming season better, once they know whether the forward is sticking around or not.
