I think Dave Bing is a good candidate for mayor.

I think he is a good business man and cares about Detroit. Detroit needs someone who wants to stick around for awhile. Dave said, he would only run for one term, which makes me nervous.

Despite what some of these people think, Dave Bing is more than experienced and qualified to be mayor of Detroit. It has been 30 years since Bing played in the NBA. Bing founded Bing Steel in Detroit with four employees in 1980. By 1990, Bing Steel had annual sales of $60 million and was ranked as the 10th-largest African-American-owned industrial company in the nation, according to Black Enterprise magazine. Bing was named the National Minority Small Business Person of the Year in 1984. Today Bing Group, a private company, says that last year it had gross annual sales of $370 million while employing 1,400 people.  The company supplies metal stampings to the auto industry.

He is obviously well respected and qualified.

Why, because he played for the pistons? Well then I think Willie Horton would make a great mayor.

I do not believe he would be experience to run for Mayor of Detroit. Being the Mayor of Detroit is a challenging job and his career background is basketball, not government.
