City went on to suffer a very shocking defeat at the hands of Swansea this past weekend and as a result of that one goal to nil loss, the Blue side of Manchester has dropped out of the top spot in the league table and are now sitting in the second spot in
the league.
With just ten games to go in the season, City can’t afford slipping up again, or they could risk missing out on any chances of winning the premier League title this season.
Richards, when talking about the team’s performances in recent weeks is quoted to have said: "We have to take every game as it comes. We need to go back and see where we went wrong here and why we are not scoring as many goals as we used to"
"Teams are defending better against us. At the start of the season we were scoring, four, five or six goals a game but in the last two games we have not hit the net and it is something we want to look at and improve on in next couple of games."
However, there is some good news for the team. Carlos Tevez, the team’s other Argentine goal scoring machine is set to return to the team’s starting eleven and Richards has admitted just how much he loves the player. He also insisted that the forward could
easily turn any game around, while claiming that he could prove to be the difference at this point in the season.
"I have always been a big fan of Tevez, I love him," he added.
"There were games last season where he carried us on his own and in these sort of games he would get a 1-0 win for us. It's up to the manager ultimately but I would love to see him back."
Tevez is set to return to the City squad this coming weekend, but it is still unclear if his fitness is on par with the team’s requirements.
