novice is correct. 1)A), 2 A). Congress recently passed the MCA, Military Commissions Act to try Guantanamo Bay detainees after the Court sided with a detainee accused of supporting Al Qaeda.

Number 1 is A.  

B & C don't fit since there is nothing in the question about self incrimination (B) or influencing the jury (C).  Appealing to a higher court (D) would only come into play after a negative descision in their case.

Number 2 is A.

Appointing a new justic (B) would take alot of time and would not directly affect the descision.

Citizens cannot overturn the law on their own (C).  Doing so would be the definition of anarchy and thus not something congress would do.

Filing a suit against the supreme court would be pointless (D).  Where would the case go?  The Supreme court is the highest court in the land and thus not reviewable by any other court.
