can u give me a slist of tangible things that were and were not accomplished during the civil rights movement

  1. Outward, overt racism was stopped in many cases. Blacks have been able to apply for and obtain a lot of jobs that they formerly just couldn't get. Voting rights were given to Blacks overall.

    On the downside:

    The racism remains.

    Subtle discrimination is rampant Visit a jail as I have, and you'll find they are vastly overpopulated by Blacks, and even if one suggested that Blacks offend more than Whites (which has slight basis) no way does it even begin to come close to the disparity in the prison population.

    Huge Black ghettos continue, with failed schools, rampant drug problems and soaring teenage pregnancies. It is utterly out of control, and nobody has the guts to touch it.
