Civil status proof?

How do I get an official proof of my civil status as engaged? I'm a Norwegian citizen who is engaged to an American citizen and needs the proof in order to file for a fiance permit in Norway/

Karin, is this a US requirement or a Norway one?  The US Fiancee application (K1) requires proof based on the longevity of the relationship mostly.  They ask for everything from joint travel reservations you've shared, photographs, and any other proof that you have been in close contact for the past 24 months.  The link below might be more helpful.
