Civilized without tv?

I'm writing an essay about people still being civilized without having a TV, Anyone have any points I could use?

You have it reversed.The videodrome is a modern tool to brainwash people.Not only to buy things.But to shift their worldview.It desensitizes people to evil and violence.It keeps people from thinking critically by accepting official versions of news events through a blind trust in news anchors.And much,much more.

I let my Comcast Cable lapse and gave my retarded uncle my TV so that he would have some distraction and stimulation as he lies in his hydrocephalic stupor for yet another year.  He is able to push the remote button to change the channels but I'm not sure he understands what he's doing.  But I figure now he is finally more civilzed than I because he can now tune in to reruns of Two and a Half Men.

Civilisation does not required any tv.It  does not imply that they dont know what is tv.

TV is a psychological warfare.  Buy stuff,  become a moron with no opinion on anything but American Idol and Brittany Spears,  Brad and Angelina is way more important than 8 year olds making products for Wal-mart at 3cents per day.  Show us your b***s!

People with no TV are way more civilized by a long shot!
