Claim check from an car insurance company??

people have their choice of body shop-- because they know they can get cheaper repairs instead of the insurance's preferred body shop or dealer's.... and pocket the rest of the money.....

You don't own the car yet, the bank does until you have paid it off, and the bank therefore has an interest in seeing it fixed.  Best bet is to chose option 1 and sign the check at the body shop.
