a couple years ago.. I had hail damage to my car..claimed it and got a check for almost 2000..used the money for personal use and never got it fixed.. Now I have all new car insurance and last night got more hail damage! Can I claim on the new hail damage?...still have the old damage too.. Would my new insurance company have record that I never had the old damage fixed with my old insurance?

  1. Fraud is a crime punishable by jail time.  Also you could be blackballed by all car ins. companies

  2. Damage from "a couple years ago" can/will be identified as "old damage".  New and old will have a different appearance.

    IDK .

  3. Nope.

You never got the old hail damage repaired.  You can not claim the new damage.

If you submit a claim and try to claim all the damage - that is insurance fraud. I felony.

Most insurance companies are memebers of a database that we can search and see if there were prior claims on a vehicle.

  4. when you purchased the new policy did your new agent inspect your auto before placing the coverage?  they should have and they should have noted the existing damage.  the adjuster from the new company will more than likely be able to distinguish the old damage and may deny the claim because of it.  if he doesn't, then consider yourself lucky if they pay for it.
