ClamWin worth keeping?

Question

I use free Antivir antivirus and couple of on demand virus checker such as Trend Micro House call and Bit Defender On line scan.

ClamWin is so slow!! It has found few viruses, but I don't think it's worth keeping.

Any opinions?

get avg free, its better than all the big ones like nortan and stuff

You should keep Clamwin as a secondary defend.

With no real-time protection ClamWin won't conflict with any other

Anti-Virus program.

Clamwin's programmers designed an unique scanning engine that no other antivirus has so it increases the chances of malware getting detected.

The scanning engine scan everyfiles like it is searching for head lices

with a tooth comb (that is why it is slow). To make it run faster.

You should make it scan these file extensions.

*.dll

*.sys

*.scr

*.cmd

*.vbs

*.js

*.wsh

*.386

*.vxd

*.inf

*.ini

Most malwares are designed to attack popular antivirus products,

but since Clamwin is much less used, it's capable of fighting the viruses when industry leaders fail.

There is a portable version of ClamWin where it can be install into an USB thumb drive.

I created bootable USB thumb drive with ClamWin portable.

In case the virus stop me from booting up in Windows.

I can use it to boot up and scan for viruses.

Its lsow but effective specially when your system is already bog down by virus, you use avast as an aletrnetive to it its much better, if your current computer is still infected I suggest Follow the instruction on the link below to clean your computer

YOURE RIGHT IS AT THE BOTTOM OF THE LIST ......... I TRIED IT FOR LIKE 2 HOURS DUMPED IT IN A HURRAY .........

Get avast antivirus it is the best.If you have a pendrive you can make use of clamwin portable.
