I'm going to get loaded in the park with my boyfriend in the summer which is at clapham common in london.

We need somewhere to stay but I haven't the faintest idea about anywhere in london. All the hotel websites ask to choose a region of london but I can't find many when I put clapham in. can anyone please tell me other regions close by which i could try?

if there's also regions which wouldnt cost much to get a taxi or tube from to clapham common please could you tell me those too?

Thank you :)

  1. Hiya! I used to live there and my family used to have a hotel there :0)

There is a small hotel on Lavender sweep which is 5 -10 mins from the common and  is called "The Lavender" at 18 Lavender Sweep. it's a 3 diamond Guest house but very nice and is run like a hotel. He used to be our rival LOL. You can google map him.

There is also a travel lodge not far  from there but you would need to get a bus. Taxi wouldn't be too much either. It's on York road -Forte Travel Lodge

    Southampton House,

    192-206 York Road

    London

    SW11 3SA

    0207 2285 508

There is another travel lodge, but further out towards Vauxhall and the bus 344 goes straight to Clapham Junction.

There is another Hotel  not far from Clapham, called the Windmill but is very expensive. Not sure of their details but you can google them as well.

    Good Luck and have fun!

Oh and by the way..there are also two other hotels along the common towards Balham but they seem to be very Backpacker or Temp housed people. which is fine if you don't mind a hotel that's more basic and can rough it. I can't say what they are like as I never went in, but you could try googling them as well. Best bet is to type Hotel or guest houses in Sw11.  I got some results from that just now.
