AC Milan veteran, Clarence Seedorf, has agreed to a contract extension offered by the club’s vice-president, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Adriano-c3773 Galliani. Seedorf had asked for time to think about his decision, as the player and the officials had a clash over the extension period offered
to the attacking midfielder. The legendary Dutchman’s contract was set to expire this month in June.
Galliani had offered a one-year extension to the Dutch International, but Seedorf wanted to stay at San Siro until the summers of 2013. In such a situation, Seedorf was given time to re-consider his decision whether to stay or leave and the midfielder, after
overlooking the options available to him, has opted to stay with the Diavolo.
Seedorf is one of the high profile players at Milan and is considered to be one of the finest assets of the outfit. The player holds an important place amongst the men in the red and black jerseys and has been a loyal servant to the Rossoneri since 2002.
AC Milan director general, Ariedo Braida, revealed the importance of the player for the Rossoneri and said:
