Clarification on UK 8-balls rules?

1. If your openent pots the white can i place it anywhere behind the baulk line of just in the D. And then am i required to shoot up table or can i shoot anywhere?

2. If the black is the only object ball on the table and my oponent fouls, do i get one or two visits.

3. If my opponent fouls am i required to play my two visits from where the white ball rests or can i move it behind the baulk line.

  1. Old epa rules the answers are:

    1) In baulk. Shoot in any direction.

    2) Two visits.

    3) You can ask the ref to move the white into baulk.

    Current epa (world rules):

    1) Anywhere in baulk. Shoot in any direction.

    2) Two visits.

    3) Play from where the ball stops unless you're in a snooker. If you're in a snooker,you can nominate one of the oponents balls or the black (not potting the black unless you're on it) for one shot, or move the white into baulk.

    If you are still in a snooker in baulk (no matter where you put the white) you can still nominate an oponents ball or black .(not potting the black unless you're on it).
