Clarion Touch Car CD player, turns on, plays, but no sound??

I have a Clarion DXZ956MC CD player.. My friends dad installed in my present car and it worked fine, then when I professionaly installed front clarion splits, its been playing up, I would turn the volume up and it would just reboot itself.. then that stopped and now whenever I turn on the car it would turn on, play and even change songs, but there will be no sound, I keep turning the cd player on and off until it works again..

A friend's dad told me it was the battery of the car??

Is that right or could it be the cd player or the speakers or could the people who installed the speakers do a dodgy job??

thanks

  1. heres the deal i have done this many time over the years ......whenever your hooking up your stereo you never cross the wires together and if you ever do cross them together you better pray you crossed the red one and the black one   WHY ?  because all this does is just blow the fuse but when you cross any other wires like the purple and the blue or the white and the green what happens is that it kills all the outputs for the stereo sometimes permanently sometimes just for a few minutes ,even dough you have power on the stereo screen and you can change your songs and change stations cahnge a cd and all that  so my answer to your question will be   .  THE PEOPLE THAT INSTALLED YOUR STEREO DID A POOR JOB WHEN CONNECTING YOUR STEREO AND THEY LEFT A WIRE EXPOSED AND THIS WIRE IS PROBABLY RUBBING TO POSSIBLY ANOTHER WIRE OR JUST RUBBING AGAINST SOME KIND OF METAL IN YOUR CAR  AND CAUSING WHAT IS CALLED A SHORT CIRCUIT AND THATS WHY YOUR STEREO DONT HAVE ANY TYPE OF SOUND .   i hope this makes sense .

  2. If the radio comes on then its not the battery its the installation of the radio, there may be wires touching or crossed take it back to who put it in and have it checked.
