West Brom manager Steve Clarke was left disappointed after his side suffered their first defeat of the season at the hands of Fulham and has called for a quick recovery from his team.
The Baggies had been the surprise package of the season so far. The club had previously enjoyed a successful campaign in the Premier League, finishing in the top half of the table under former boss Roy Hodgson.
However, Hodgson soon left for the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Job-c18684, and many doubted whether the club could replicate last season’s success under new boss Steve Clarke.
West Brom were not faze by Hodgson's departure, and started their season on a high with a 3-0 victory at home against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809. The club had also made number of summer signings and have the depth to compete for silverware this season.
The Baggies went going on an unbeaten run, drawing 1-1 with Tottenham at White Hart Lane and then winning another home against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Everton-c13019. However, all good things come to an end, and West Brom finally endured their first loss of the season at the hands of
Fulham at Craven Cottage.
Adding insult to injury, star striker http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Peter-Odemwingie-c29794 was sent off in the first half for lashing out at a Fulham player. West Brom spend the remainder of the game trying to hold off Fulham, and ended up losing 3-0.

Steve Clarke had helped his side win 7 points from 3 games before the Fulham game and was clearly disappointed with the result. However, he insisted that his side will recover from the defeat and bounce back.
“We’ve always tried to calm expectations,” said Clarke.
“We knew there would be difficult days, although I was hoping it would take a little bit longer before we got to this stage. Sometimes you win and sometimes you draw, but on Saturday we lost.”
“We will take it on the chin, we will go away and prepare well this week and get ready for the Reading game. I know enough about the players and what they’re capable of and they’re as disappointed as I am."
