Clarke likely to play IPL: Ganguly– Cricket News update
Surav Ganguly, the former Indian cricket player and current captain of the Pune http://www.senore.com/Cricket/MJ-Clarke-c1978 is likely to play for his side during the upcoming season of the mega tournament. The Australian
skipper is one of the high profile cricketers who have not taken part in any of the previous four seasons of the IPL.
At 30 years of age, the Aussie player is leading one of the world’s top ranked cricket teams at the International level in all the three formats of the game. He has smashed 19 centuries in Test matches so far including 21 fifties at an average of 49.65.
His performance in ODIs and the game’s shorter version, Twenty20, is equally impressive. As a skipper he has done a wonderful job in maintaining his side’s performance at the International level.

Subsequently his injury turned out to be serious enough to make him sit for the upcoming ODI series against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/West-Indies-c760. However, his name has been included in the squad for Test series where he hopes to lead his side once again.
The Pune Warriors' Captain, Sourav is keen to sign Clarke even though he would be available for only 7 matches after the end of his side’s Caribbean Test series on April 27, 2012. However, the IPL is scheduled to start from April 4, 2012.
"We're on the verge of signing (Michael) Clarke ... however, he will be available from May,'' remarked Ganguly.
Michael had earlier expressed his willingness to take part in the 5th season of the IPL stating that it would turn out to be a strong preparation for the 2012 Twenty20 World Cup tournament in Sri Lanka.
Even though http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Clarke-c51120 was not nominated for the 5th season of IPL’s auction, the Pune Warriors have the confidence of BCCI to sign players outside the formal method.
Despite the limited number of matches for which Michael will be available, the Pune Warriors are happy to have one of the best cricketers in the world play for them.
