Following Peter Odemwingie’s sending off against Fulham this past weekend, West Brom manager Steve Clarke said that he is not concerned about the player’s focus, and is confident that he will learn from his mistakes.
The star striker had a torrid afternoon as he lashed out at http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Sascha-Riether-c32598 after being hassled off the ball. Odemwingie was immediately sent off and West Brom went on to lose the game 3-0.

The Nigerian striker had been linked with a move away from the club, with Qatari outfit http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Al-Gharafa-c38306 reported to have put in a bid for his services. Clarke had publicly stated his appreciation for the player when he was appointed as West Brom’s manager, and
vowed to hold on to him.
This was only Odemwingie’s second start of the season after a brief injury spell. The player said that he was disappointed by his behaviour and apologized to the fans after the game.
"I will work hard over the next couple of weeks to make sure I don't lose my position but it is a worry that I might not get my starting shirt back,” Odemwingie said speaking to reporters.
"I feel like I've let myself down. It really feels very bad. I also let my team-mates, the club and fans down. I'm sorry."
This game marked the first defeat for the Baggies, who have enjoyed a flying start to their Premier League campaign under new manager Steve Clarke. Before the Fulham game, West Brom had managed 7 points from 3 games, and were going on an unbeaten run.
The manager was however not concerned and is confident his side will bounce back and recover.
"I think Peter is right and he is focused," said Clarke. "He played our first game (against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809) and played well. He got the red card, but he's not the first footballer to do that and he won't be the last."
West Brom will host Reading at the Hawthorns this Saturday and will be eyeing another home victory.
