West Brom manager Steve Clarke is confident of a good result against Manchester City as the Baggies prepare to host the reigning English champions this Saturday.
The manager insists that the English champions’ visit to the Hawthorns this Saturday will be the biggest ‘mental’ challenge for his players this season.
The manager is relishing the possibility of watching his side defend their 100 per cent home record when City travel to the Hawthorns. However, he knows his side will face a stern challenge and will have to be on their toes against the champions.
Having seen West Brom fight back to claim a point against City last season when Roy Hodgson was in charge, Clarke is confident he can lead them to a victory. The manager has been a revelation for the club following his appointment, and has led them to a
string of good results in the league, losing only once in 7 games.
West Brom are currently 6th in the league table, and are just a point behind City. Speaking about the match, Clarke said:
“You have to be right physically and mentally because the mental drain is big. For me it’s a great game. It’s the champions coming to our home ground. We look forward to the challenge.”
“They are a top team, that’s why they’re champions. Last year they were the best team. They deservedly won the league.”
“I know they made hard work of it towards the end but they’re a good team with a lot of really good players. I'm sure we’re ready to give them a difficult match.”

Foster insists that Hart is one of the best goalkeepers in the league, and admitted that West Brom will have to work hard to get past him in goal.
The former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 and Manchester united goalkeeper is himself known to be one of the league’s top shot stoppers. Foster was voted the club’s player of the season, deservedly winning the Albion’s Player of the Year award. Saturday will be an interesting
clash between two of the most consistent and effective goalkeepers in the league.
