Clarke wants cricket to return to Pakistan
The head of the English cricket board, Giles Clarke has announced that the Pakistan cricket needed the support of the rest of the world for them to return to hosting matches. Pakistan has yet to host a single international since the terrorists’ attacks of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Bangladesh-c747.
Clarke said that the cricketing world must allow Pakistan the opportunity to host games, without which they would end up going bankrupt. He also said that while he acknowledged that the security hassles are huge, by not touring Pakistan, they were allowing the terrorists to win.
Clarke acknowledged that it was difficult for a national side to tour Pakistan given the current scenario, but an ICC World XI could definitely be asked to play in the country in some time. He added that the rest of the cricket world could ill-afford to ignore Pakistan as a cricketing venue, where some of the greatest cricketers have been produced.
By not playing cricket in Pakistan, it does look like the quality of cricket is getting affected as the side’s batting has shown on their tour of England.
