Australian skipper, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/MJ-Clarke-c1978, finds himself, yet again, in doubt for his team’s upcoming matches as he struggles with a hamstring injury sustained during the 2nd final of the Commonwealth Bank series against Sri Lanka at the Adelaide Oval
on March 6.

Clarke has been battling injuries on and off for the most part of the ongoing tri-series. He injured his right hamstring during a game against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/SR-Watson-c2558 filled in for
him as captain. After returning, he was also troubled by a back injury, which did not develop into anything serious.
The captain admits that he was adamant on returning to the field as soon as possible, and may have rushed his return, despite the warnings of team physio Alex Kountouris. As a result, his efforts to keep the strain off his right hamstring caused him to put
unnecessary stress on the left one.

there,” Clarke explained, adding that he was hesitant to confirm anything until he had some scans done to determine the extent of the damage.
The 30-year-old scored a whopping 117 off 91 balls in the previous match against Sri Lanka, but his efforts combined with the batting heroics of opener http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sri-Lanka-c758 winning by
8 wickets.
The Australian team will be fighting for a series win in the last final scheduled for March 8 at the Adelaide Oval, but without their captain. The series against the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/West-Indies-c760 is also due to kick off on March 16, and while it is almost certain that Clarke’s
injury is serious enough to rule him out of the ODIs and T20s, he may be able to join his team for the Test leg of the tour, scheduled to begin on April 7.
