Class 180 Adelante hidden numbers?

Question

The class 180 Adelante has its tops number on a flap which is often left up to access the coupling, thus the number is not visible.

on the coupling is another number which does not appear to be a tops number as it does not start with 180 is there a way to work out which number the unit is from this number?

I wouldnt bother i heard they were getting rid of these units as they are not up to HSTs standard
