Class boy showing affections.?

Question

My girl in grade 1 didn't like to be hugged by a class boy. She told him "don't hug me" and he replied, "because I like you".

What is the best way to deal with this situation? Please advise. Thank-you.

he likes her. its a little cush. no big deal. but if it is just tell her to tell him to back off.

watch it closley but kids have to learn the foundation of how to be social in all situations. She did a great job. Let her know to tell the teacher.My daughter, god bless her, had 3 boyfriends at the same time in kindergarden. On of them kept saying that he was kidding and didnt like her and the next week he did again. I got to know the kid because of that and he turned out to be a really good kid. Just slightly misguided. They are really good friends a year later.

Teach your daughter how to box so if he gets to handsy she can knock him out cold and he'll never cross her path ever again :)

She handled the situation perfectly! Tell the teacher but don't do the whole thing of getting into a controversy with the mother of the child for what happened!

And anyway at this age children learn to be social and communicate with their peers and people so I kind of think that hugging your daughter was an action to show that he wants her to be his friend!
