  1. Pull out the chainsaw, cut it into to little pieces, and take it to the dump.

Your friend probably just screwed you.

Sorry, but there is no nice way to say this.

  2. If the boat is full of dry rot consider a bon fire it is cheaper. Why spend 20k for a 5k boat?

I would be in a case of wonderment looking at a boat built by a desert mfgr and named Sahara?????

  3. Google "fiberglass boat repair" and "fiberglass boat floor replacement" , a ton of stuff comes up.

I just replaced the floor in a 1972 Arrow Glass 17' boat. Not a simple task, but fun. I got all my glass supplies here; http://www.fiberglasssite.com/servlet/St...

they were the cheapest I found, and real quick delivery.

Go here; http://www.marineengine.com/ for your prop, and motor parts. You should buy a manual there also.

BTW Tom R,   Lake Mead is one of the finest recreational lakes in the country! Not far at all from Sin City. I spent many hours boating/swimming/fishing on it growing up in Las Vegas in the 60's, and 70's!

  4. Check out the restoration forum at

    http://forums.iboats.com

see what other do-it-yourselfers are doing.

If these guys can't walk you through it, no one can:
