I have a PS3 and a Samsung 32" HD Ready LCD TV and a couple of Blu Ray movies, (New Ones). They look fabulous.
I was in HMV the other day and saw a classic movie, Dirty Dancing on Blu Ray.
My question is, this movie was shot over 20 years ago when the cameras they used weren't that good, compared to today.
If they released it on Bly Ray that means it must be in HD. How can they improve the quality on something that has already been shot and convert it from standard definintion to high definition?
And if it doesn't llok any better on Blu Ray, is there really a point in purchasing it on Blu Ray when I can get it on DVD for £10 cheaper?
