The Nice coach feels that the draw against Les Phoceens on Sunday was a fair result and is pleased with the way players performed at Stade Velodrome

Nice coach, Claude Puel has expressed his satisfaction at Le Gym’s performance on Sunday but feels that his side had the ability to do more on the pitch.
While talking to reporters, the 51-year-old stated that it was a professional performance from Le Aiglons and although there were few nervous moments in the game, it was a good composed performance from his side nonetheless.
Talking about the match, the Frenchman said that Marseille played really well in the first half and Nice failed to take control of the game. However, Le Gym played much better in the second period and the coach is pleased with his players’ attitude.
"We had one half where we just weren't in it at all, not there in the challenges or in the game. We came out in the second half with much greater intent.”
Marseille coach, Elie Baup was quoted saying that Les Phoceens deserved to win Sunday’s game as they were the better side at Stade Velodrome. However, Claude Puel doesn’t agree with that and believes that the draw was a fair result and Nice deserved something
out of that game.
“The draw is a fair result given the way the game went; one half was Marseille's and the other was ours,” the former Lyon coach told reporters.
The coach added that both teams played good football and result could have gone to anyone’s favour. The Frenchman has praised his players for not losing their focus on the pitch and is looking forward to the upcoming games in Ligue 1.
“It's a little bit of a shame to have conceded a goal that wasn't and to have scored one that was but these things happen in football and fortunately we managed to claim a point."
