The Juventus midfielder has urged his team to forget all their worries and doubts, and focus on winning their decisive Group C match against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Republic-of-Ireland-c2987.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Claudio-Marchisio-c9312 has stressed upon the need for Italy to forget about the controversies and speculations surrounding them, and has insisted that they must focus solely on their upcoming clash against the Irish.
The Azzurri drew their first two matches of Euro 2012, and their situation has led to comparisons with their World Cup 2010 campaign, where they tied their first two games and lost the last one to get knocked out of the group stages.
Marchisio sidelined all such associations and stressed that Italy reminds him of Juventus during the 2011-12 mid-season, when they were caught up in too many draws but slowly regained their confidence to start scoring more frequently.
The Juventus-man admitted to having missed some important scoring opportunities, but stressed that the time is not for them to dwell on their disappointments but to focus on winning against the Irish.
While talking to the press, the 26-year-old said:
“This http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Italy-c2926 could be a little bit like Juventus mid-season when we had a few too many draws and I do see some analogies. With Juve we slowly managed to take our chances again and I hope the same will happen with Italy. I had several
scoring opportunities too over the last couple of games, but at the moment the important thing is for the team to score against Ireland. We have to win, the rest does not matter.”
Marchisio insisted that the team will not be under pressure when entering the field to go against Ireland, and pointed out that they have a lot of experience in their squad along with some World Cup winning players to help calm
their nerves.
The Bianconeri midfielder went on to remark on the situation of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mario-Balotelli-c23937, after the striker has missed several sitters in the tournament, and could be benched in the clash against the Boys in Green.
Marchisio insisted that the Manchester City forward wants to perform for his country and is visibly upset by his scoring form, but maintained that the coach can still keep his faith in him.
The Juventus-man warned that the Italy striker must understand that his scoring opportunities could start to run dry, and he must pull up his socks before it is too late for him.
