The Juventus midfielder stated his discontent at not being able to play the Super Cup in front of home fans; however, he was hopeful of good support in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/China-c8926.
There was much dispute on the venue of the Supercoppa Italiana, with both the clubs finding it difficult to agree on the stadium the match was going to be played at. After much discussion, the Super Cup was decided to be played in the capital of China, Beijing.
The contestants of the match will be competing against each other on the 11th of August 2012. Despite mutually agreeing on the venue before hand, Aurelio De Laurentiis was critical of the timing of the tournament as he bemoaned that his players
would suffer from jet lag ahead of the start of the Serie A season.
De Laurentiis complained that it was a match pointless and he would not be taking his team to play in the tournament, and stated that they were willing to pay the fine for pulling out of the Supercoppa Italiana.  The owner of the Vesuviani outfit later tracked
back and stated that he had been assured by the authorities that his concerns would be given due notice.
Despite the back tracking by Aurelio De Laurentiis, Marchisio remains disappointed that the Turin outfit’s home fans would not be able to watch the Italian Super Cup in Italy. He was not impressed with the idea of the match being played in another continent,
so close to the start of their defence of the Scudetto.
Marchisio put his thoughts on his Facebook page, remarking:
"We are doing our best to try to get to the Italian Super Cup in the best condition. It really is a shame that we're playing in Beijing and not in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Italy-c2926, but I'm sure there will still be many fans there who will not be lacking in support and affection for
us.”
However, he went on to state that their focus was on their upcoming friendly against the Portuguese giants, Benfica; and commented:
"For now, though, we are preparing as best we can for our first official outing, against Benfica on Wednesday."
Marchisio was the second highest scorer of the Turin outfit in the Serie A, with 9 goals in the 2011-12 Serie A campaign.
