Claudio Mossie rules out Premier League and Serie A move for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/FC-Porto-c39186 star Radamel Falcao
Italian agent Claudio Mossie has ruled out a move to the English Premier League and Serie A for FC Porto’s star striker http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Radamel-Falcao-c30276, citing financial reasons behind the unlikelihood of a deal going through.
Colombian forward, Radamel Falcao, has consistently been linked with a transfer to some of the biggest clubs in Europe, in particular to the teams in the English Premier League and the Italian Serie A.
Chelsea were considered to be the frontrunners to sign the highly-rated goal-poacher in England and possessed the ability to pay for his services despite his whopping €45 million price tag. However, the London outfit decided not to act on their interest
and chose to pursue other targets rather than land the Portista star.
Teams like Manchester United and Arsenal were also interested in the 25-year-old but were warded off by Porto’s asking price for their prized asset.
In the Serie A, Juventus were touted as potential suitors for Falcao, however, the Turin outfit turned their attention to the likes of Sergio Aguero and did not lodge any bids for the attacker.
However, according to Claudio Mossie, clubs in English and Italian top flights would not be able to land the former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/River-Plate-c40368 man due to the €45 million price tag placed on his head by Porto.
Speaking to reporters, the agent said that while Chelsea were interested in the front-man, increase in the buyout clause saw the Blues back-off and chase other players.
“Chelsea may be interested in Falcao Garcia as an alternative to Drogba, but the cost of operation is very high, especially after the recent increase in termination clause [from 30 to 45 million].” The agent revealed.
Mossie also lamented that the current financial conditions of the Serie A also prevented the usually big-spending Italian sides from signing the Coffee Growers International.
“Falcao in Italy? I do not believe, our football is going through a difficult time. Falcao is a player and that's an extra hurdle,” Claudio Mossie concluded.
With a move to England and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Italy-c2926 ruled out for Radamel Falcao, the only choice left for him is the Spanish La Liga, where Atletico Madrid are allegedly looking to sign him.
