The Werder Bremen striker has hinted that he could make a return to Allianz Arena at the end of this season.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Claudio-Pizarro-c9324 could make a return to Bayern Munich at the end of this season following his side’s inconsistent form this season. The Werder Bremen striker is disappointed with his club’s inability to challenge for silverware
and has reportedly declined talks of an extension.
The striker’s contract will end in 2013 but he could possibly leave Thomas Schaaf’s team at the end of the campaign in search of trophies. If reports are to be believed, the 33-year-old will be leaving for Premier League side Queens
Park http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Rangers-c40314 after his current campaign.
Pizarro has admitted that he is interested in a move elsewhere but has refused to name a possible destination. He stated that all his focus is currently on Bremen’s future assignments as they are in search for a place in next season’s
UEFA Europa League.
While talking to a sports website, soccernews.com, the former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 attacker further added: “There is no contact with Bayern. I’d be stupid to exclude that. Everything is open. I will soon hold talks with Werder. It could happen
that it takes even longer, until a decision is made.”
The Peruvian is believed to be unhappy after Bremen lost the chance of qualifying for next season’s UEFA Champions League. He was hoping to play at a bigger stage in Europe next season but the River Islanders’ below par performances
in the past few games have left the striker disappointed.
Pizarro has had a successful campaign and has bagged 16 league goals from 22 appearances so far. The striker also finds himself in contention for the Golden Boot award alongside Mario Gomez, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lukas-Podolski-c22896.
It will be too early to speculate Pizarro’s move at the end of this term but the player’s reluctance to sign a new deal might be a hint towards his departure. With eight games remaining this season, Pizarro has a huge role to play
for his side and ensuring their participation in Europe next season is the aim.
The attacker will next be seen in action against FC Augsburg at the Weserstadion on Saturday, March 24.
