The striker has casted doubts over his future at the Weserstadion and is likely to leave at the end of this season.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/1-FSV-Mainz-05-c38166 on Saturday, March 31, at the Weserstadion. The attacker insisted that he is focussed
towards scoring goals for The River Islanders and will only consider his future once the 2011/12 season expires.
The 33-year-old denied rumours linking him with a move to Bayern Munich during the summer. He clarified that no such negotiations have taken place as yet. While talking to Kreiszeitung, the 33-year-old Peruvian further added:
"I will only say that I will score two goals against Mainz on Saturday. I have not yet made a decision. Everything is open. I generally don't talk about contract details."
If reports are to be believed, the Munich giants are interested in bringing the attacker to the Allianz Arena in summer. Bayern duo of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ivica-Olic-c17399 and Nils Petersen is set to leave the club at the end of this campaign which means
that the Reds would need someone to fill in their boots.
However, Pizarro would want to play regular first team football which he may not find at Allianz Arena. The striker is Bremen’s first team player and would want to feature regularly at Bayern also if he is to agree upon his move.
Bayern are certain to part ways with Petersen who is frustrated at his situation at the club. The former Energie Cottbus star has only had limited opportunities at Bayern since joining them last year and has failed to impress in
the absence of Mario Gomez. Therefore, he is likely to make a move elsewhere to gain sufficient first team action under his belt.
Pizarro could definitely be a perfect solution to Bayern’s problems in the attack considering the club only have Gomez as one of their most accomplished strikers. The ageing Peruvian international has so far made 70 appearances
for the River Islanders since 2009, netting 41 goals during the process.
