The former Inter Milan manager reveals that he has been contacted by the Viola, and insists that he has a special connection to Florence; would love return to the Gigliati once again.
Claudio Ranieri has admitted that he has been approached by Fiorentina, and insists that he would like to meet with the Della Valle family before making a final decision.

Claudio Ranieri admitted to the connection, stating that he only had a brief talk with the Fiorentina authorities.
The former Nerazzurri boss insisted that he is aware that the Della Valle family want to do something important at the club, and stated that he would like to meet the owners before making a final decision.
The veteran added that he has enjoyed a delightful relationship with the city of Florence, and insisted that it would be a matter of great pride for him, if he is called back to boss his former club.
While talking to the Corriere dello Sport, the 60-yaer-old said:
“For now, there has only been a small conversation with Fiorentina. I asked if I could meet with the Della Valle family because I know that they want to do something important. I’ve always had a splendid relationship with Florence and it would be an honour
if the Della Valle family called me back.”
Ranieri had a distinctive four-year stint at Fiorentina starting in 1993, where he led the Viola into Italy’s top flight from Serie B, and also won Coppa Italia and Italian Super Cup with the club.
