There has been heavy speculation on the future of the Inter Milan boss following the club’s serious dip in form; Inter director quashes any such speculation.
Claudio Ranieri’s Inter Milan nightmare does not seem to be ending; they were heading for another humiliating defeat at the hands of Catania in their previous league game. Gli Elefanti scored twice in the
first-half at the San Siro, but the Nerazzurri fought back to scrape a point from the game.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Diego-c11058 Forlan scored for the Nerazzurri in the second-half. A point was assured after Milito converted his chance minutes before the full-time whistle. The second-half
revival did lessen the pressure on Ranieri, but media reports suggest that it will be his last game in charge of the Beneamata.
Ernesto Paolillo, the Inter director, has moved to end such speculation, stating that the former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roma-c31603 boss will not be fired from his position.
The Beneamata have not won in their last nine encounters, having lost seven of those matches. This state of affairs has seen Inter Milan drop down to the 7th place in the Serie A standings, trailing
third-place, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lazio-c39775, by 11 points.
Paolillo reassured Ranieri, and stated that the manager has the club’s backing. The Director was talking to Sky Sport Italia, and during his interview he stated:
"We've spoken regularly with him. He's very confident and I'm very optimistic about him. He is not at risk. The trust in him is unconditional. We hope that the results will help us. They are like lightning
in the damage they can cause but we hope that tomorrow [Sunday] will not be like this."
The Nerazzurri tactician has also been criticised for his team selection and tactics employed in the matches. The board representative further stated:
"Inter has so many good players and one sometimes has to make decisions, so we will leave Ranieri in peace to make his."
Massimo Moratti has revealed his standing on the issue and has continuously backed Ranieri. However, a few more defeats in the Serie A might test the patience of even the most forgiving patrons.
