  1. To Make the prettiest wedding gown out of toilet paper.  Also a bingo game.  Guessing what the bride will receive..before she opens up presents.  It is played the same as regular bingo.  Also, a raffle with numbers...no payment or anything.  The number picked receives a little gift...

  2. You could talk to the groom and ask him questions about himself. Right down the answers so you have a key to go off of. Then at the party, each person draws one of the questions out of the hat to ask the bride to be. If she gets it wrong she has to put a piece of gum in her mouth (a big kind!). The more she gets wrong the more silly she looks!

  3. 1) Coin Drop- Get a small neck jar or bottle, large enough for coins to go in and have the ladies take turns walking a coin (dimes or pennies) between their knees to drop it in the bottle. The one with the most coins dropped accurately win the game and a prize.

    2) Alphabet game- Do a timed alphabet game having the ladies to list from A to Z wedding items (bride and groom items included). The items have to be compared to the other ladies list and whoever have the most items in the time frame win a prize. The lady that has the most have to call off all of her words and have it checked to see if they are correct.

    (exam - A = attendants. B = bride . etc.)

  4. Here are over 40 games that would work whether you are having a bridal shower or couples wedding shower. http://partygameideas.com/bridal-shower/...

The ones that were a little risque were in the bachelorette section.

There are lots of types of games like get to know you games, advice games, activity games like charades or outburst or Bingo, Cotton ball games, Don't cross your legs, guess the spice and so on.

I recommend you start with a Get to know you game

Then do an activity type game.

Play a simple pen and paper game before gifts

And then maybe play Bridal Shower Bingo during or after gift opening.

    Have fun - Sarah

  5. Ok, I kind of agree with Fizzy about the games.  But, if you can do games that don't require a lot of time or people getting up and moving around, then you will be golden.  I suggest games that happen during other things, like lunch or opening of gifts.  As lunch od being served or winding down, you can do a worksheet game (for example, wedding terms unscramble or word search)  Or a game like "guess the kitchen herb" - put several herbs in little numbered cups and let peole write down their guess, once everyone is finished go over the answers and whoever gets the most wins.  (tip: have more than one set of herbs going around).  There is the purse scavenger hunt.  The bride is given a list of items to request and whoever finds it the fastest wins a token, then whoever has the most tokens at the end wins a prize (make it common items and some odd ones).  During the gifts, you can play bridal bingo, where each guest gets a bingo card and fills it in with what she thinks the couple will get as gifts, as the gift is opened the guest marks off the square until someone gets bingo (play this a few times, with a few prizes).  Have fun.

  6. a "how well do you know the bride & groom" quiz is fun...whoever's hosting makes up a list of questions and prints out enough for the group...while everyone is answering, the bride is filling out the actual answers

whoever gets the most right wins...it's hilarious when there's a tough question or a surprising answer!!!

  7. Don't do games- they are always so stupid (especially the "clean" ones) and they make the shower drag on WAY longer than it needs to.  Just chat, have some cake, open gifts, and send them home.  If I have to attend one more boring shower with stupid toilet-paper bride dress contests or dorky "wedding charades" games, I will throw myself off a tall building.

  8. Print out something where you name one person and people must write down the name of their partner. I.e. "sonny and..." and they must know it's cher  you can even do something like "roy rogers and..." and they must pick trigger. or "batman and " robin. Bard and... Angelnine etc etc. .  The person with the most correct ones wins a prize.

Or do the same thing but put a few lyrics from some iconic love songs and the person must write down the title of the song (bonus points for knowing the artist too) or something like that.

These are a ton of fun especially when you go through the answers out loud and people who missed certain ones always let out a load moan usually in unison.  It is hilarious and fun.

Toilet paper wedding gowns are always fun. And you'd be surprised how creative some women can get with these. I've seen some that were almost "walk down the isle" appropriate.  It's insane. they get bouquets and trains and everything going.

EDIT: to add to CJV's. if you can video tape him asking the question (then pause the video) then play his answer it's pretty fun. Instead of just reading off a paper.

  9. For the shower- most of the time is spent eating and then opening up gifts- to make it go faster do bridal bingo.  Any other games are a pain and your just add time or making people uncomfortable.  Bridal bingo is nice because it doesn't put anyone on the spot and you don't have to do it if you don't want too.

I freaken hate those ones were they make you "talk" about how well you know someone or tell a story.

  10. For our couples shower, we ordered 2 half kegs, split the attendees into 2 groups, couples had to be on the same team, except one team was captained by me (the groom) and one team was captained by my bride, whichever team finished their keg first, won the game. My team lost and per rules of the game, I had to provide "sexual favors" to my bride for the rest of the week whenever she requested. It was a blast and everyone enjoyed themselves.

We've also been to a couples shower where couples play with the s*x dice.

Everything is meant in fun. Be sure to take into consideration the guests that are gonna be at the shower for the games you play.

  11. We had to guess how many marbles or gun balls were in a jar. We had to guess how big the waist of the bride was by taking a piece of decorating string and measure the lenght we thought fit her waist, the one that wins will get a prize, this is not to be mean about weight problems, just a simple game. Do an ice braker as some of the others have mentioned who you are and how you know the person.

  12. At my shower last weekend we did 3 games.  The first one was an introductory game.. 2 truths and 1 lie.  You had to introduce yourself and tell how you knew the bride (me) and then 2 truths about yourself and one lie.  Then you picked a name out of a hat and that person had to guess which was a lie.. it worked really well actually, because most people didn't know each other.

Then we did how well you know the bride and groom and it was a questionnaire of things about the bride/groom.

Then we did a wedding word scramble, it was kind of hard but fun.

There is also bridal bingo which you can find online.
