Clean Television Antenna?

Over time is it true that a Television Antenna will loose signal quality

Does tv antennas have a coating protecting the metal.

To Clean the metal rods will steel wool be ok to use

Negative.......they will not lose quality over age although the connections (joints) that hold the arms in place and the connectors will oxidize and possibly cause that. Cleaning will do nothing to help. Replacing the antenna will do wonders if it is over 10-20 years old. The technology has changed a bit.

unless the antennae is coated 10mm thick with bird p**p it wont make a difference.

people always forget the fact that trees grow!

yes trees!  they are the main reason people tell me that their tv reception has gradually gotten worse over the years.

It is because the tree (s) have grown to intercept the transmission signal.
