Spray it with easy off then scrub it off. That should do the trick, oh and with a Brillo pad! Good luck!

I've used Soft Scrub, oven cleaner, a Brillo pad, even Comet cleanser.  It depends on the type of pot.  If it is copper bottomed, there is a special cleaner.

SOS pad and hot water. when you get it clean put a light coating of liquid dish soap on the back and it will just wash right off...
