Clean out hot tub?

my hot tub hasn't been used in years, has stagnant water in it, what is the best way to thoroughly clean it out...type of cleansers, type of sanitizer, etc...thanks so much!

To clean use just a little bit of dish washer detergent and hot water. Run jets for several minutes. Drain and repeat if necessary.

drain,rinse soap and brush scrub,rinse,you can use cleaner with bleach for tough algae,if the sides feel like sandpaper,scrubbing with washrag and lots of pressure and alot of time it can be restored.get as clean as you can before putting more water in.don't forget to wax the sides to prevent things from sticking to sides in future,then i'd shock it and run jets for a couple cycles and see what you get.'
