  1. Best Natural All Purpose Cleaner

    In a spray bottle mix:

    2 T. Vinegar

    1 t. Borax (optional)

Hot water to 16 oz. (use distilled if you have hard water)

1/4 c. Castille Soap (Dr. Bronner's is a good one - you can get it scented or unscented)

10-15 drops of essential oil of your choice (Tea Tree oil is a natural antiseptic and I use it in my mix for the bathrooms)

    Good Luck!

  2. I always like the Watkins products, they are made from all natural base ingredients. Bleach is so damaging to all things, it pits out porcelain sinks, weakens materials in clothing, I never use bleach because it is so harmful to so many things, including your lungs. The doctor told me to use all natural based products because it will also help your kids from developing allergies, asthma, and some illnesses. It is the best way to go if you ask me. You can also use Shakley products. If you go on line I am sure you will find something that you like. Also Target is carrying those products.

  3. I don't use bleach and other clean products because I am pregnant myself.  I use white vinegar (1 part water 1 part vinegar) and baking soda.

You can use the vinegar on pretty much everything, floors, counters, sinks, toilets, mirrors and windows.  I use the baking soda for cleaning out the bathtubs and the toilets.

Bleach can be harmful so I don't use it.

  4. I haven't tried this, but what about "Green Products"...that are environmentally safe? It may be safer for you and your kidos as well.

When I was pregnant, I didn't use bleach often, but sometimes I had to clean my countertops with the Tilex Mold and Mildew to get stains out. And of course I would mess up ALL of my clothes...frustrating huh...I still do most times, so I have to be careful what I wear when I clean.

You can use Clorox Wipes instead of straight bleach. Those worked really well for me and I use those around my countertops in the kitchen, and bathrooms too. You can also get "soft scrub", and it won't be so harsh to the nose.

I liked your first answer, however I can't stand the smell of vinegar. LOL

You can find the "Green Products" at WalMart or Target. See what the label says on the back, or if someone else may know about them more and how kid friendly they are. I would figure if they're environment friendly, that they would be.
