Cleaning a Wet Saddle?

hey today my brown crosby all-purpose saddle got wet while i was riding today (started raining like crazy) how should i clean it? i have Lexol saddle cleaner and conditioner, should i wait until my saddle is dry to clean it? or should i just clean it now, then let it dry?? please help! im going to be using this saddle in a horse show next saturday and right now its two different shades of brown!

  1. Hit it with glycerin!  DO NOT use Lexol!  Use the glycerin NOW and on the lighter spots, rub for longer periods of time, once rubbed down, then wipe up as much of the excess with an old towel and allow to dry, then hit it with some olive oil LIGHTLY, then take the excess oil off with a towel and apply glycerin again, bring to a high foam, wipe all the excess off and alow to dry.


  2. just wait for it to dry and then clean it like you normally would - thats why its better to use leather saddles.
