i just got this pool and i read the book but it dont say were to put the cleaning stuff at and if were to leave the filter runing all the time or just some times when cleaning can someone help me out

As far as the pump/filter goes, you need to leave it running for 12 hours durring the summer and about 10 durring the winter. The best times for the summer are from 7am to 7pm. You need to check your chemicals once a week as well as cleaning the pool. If you dont know how to check your chemicals, many hardware stores and pool compainies do this for free, just bring in a bottled sample of the pool water. When you add chemicals to the pool, make sure that you have brused, netted, vaccumed, and cleaned the leaf catcher for your filter before doing so. You must keep your water level above the catcher or risk buring out your pump. Your chlorine tablets used to chlorinate the pool will either go into a floater that you can buy or into the skimmer basket. Depending on the size of the pool do not put more than two or three tabs in at one time. When you add chemicals, make sure to spread them throughout your pool. DO NOT use powdered shock on a vynal pool. It will eat through the lining of your pool. Use liquid chlorine to shock your pool every week. When using muratic acid to balence the ph and alkalinity levels, walk around the pool when pooring it in. Make sure you do not get either the chlorine or acid on you at any point, they burn and the acid will eat at your skin. if you do get the chemicals on you, put the area in water, your pool is fine, to wash it away. depending on the ammount of chemicals, you will not be able to swim for at least 5 hours. You leave the pump running when adding chemicals to the pool. You must also backwash your pool weekly. Do this BEFORE you add the chems, but after cleaning.
